Claude Duet is here, and your Aime just got truly proactive.
Claude just opened the research preview of Claude Duet, its new proactive assistant, and ai.moms™ got early access, so we’re testing it now and sharing what we learn with our community first. Here’s what it is, what it means for moms, and how to get ready.
I’ve been waiting for this one! I literally got the email this morning, and I haven’t stopped thinking about what it means for every mom carrying the invisible load.
What Claude Duet actually is
Claude Duet is a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. If you’ve set up scheduled tasks with your skills, you already know Claude can run a job at a time you choose, like planning your week every Sunday night. Duet goes a step further: instead of waiting for a time you set, it keeps an eye on your email and calendar, comes to you when something actually needs your attention, keeps working after you step away, and checks with you before it does anything on your behalf.
- It comes to you. Connect your email and calendar and you get a morning brief on what matters most, plus a message only when something actually needs you.
- It keeps working when you walk away. Hand off anything on your to-do list, by typing or just saying it, and it tells you when it’s done.
- It makes things. A plan, a slide deck, a working dashboard, back to you ready to review.
- You make the final call. It asks before it sends, pays, signs or deletes anything.
It works on iPhone, Android and claude.ai, with nothing to install, and your memory, skills and connected apps from your Claude account are there from your very first message.
Why this is such a big deal for moms
You don’t have time. You don’t have the luxury of time. You barely have time for work, for your kids, for your household, for all the things. The hardest part of the invisible load isn’t doing each task, it’s keeping track of all of it, the form that’s due, the gift you still need, the pickup that moved, all of it living in the back of your head and floating there every day.
A proactive assistant is the first kind of AI built for exactly that. It’s here and now, and it’s the closest thing yet to actually retiring from Chief Everything Officer™.
If you’ve built Aime, you’re already steps ahead
Everything we teach at ai.moms™ has been leading here. When you build Aime, your AI Chief Everything Officer™, you give her the full picture of your family once: who likes what, your schedule, your food world, what’s actually weighing on you. You set up skills for the jobs you do every week, and you connect your calendar and email.
That’s exactly what a proactive assistant needs to be useful instead of noisy. Claude Duet brings your skills and connected apps with it, so the work you’ve done with ai.moms™ is what Duet supercharges into a truly proactive assistant. If you’re part of ai.moms™, you’ve taken the course or you’ve built Aime, you’re not starting from zero. You’re steps ahead.
We’re testing exactly how Aime and the ai.moms™ skills run inside Duet right now, and we’ll share what we learn with our community first.
Claude’s version of the personal AI agent
Personal AI agents are having a moment, and you may have seen others popping up, like Muse and the Grok bots. Claude Duet is Claude’s version, and honestly, I’m not surprised. I’ve always believed Claude is the most powerful all-around tool to put in a mom’s hands, and that’s why everything we teach is built in it. It was only a matter of time before Claude released its own personal agent, and I’m so excited it’s finally here!
What to watch for
This is a research preview, so I want to be straight with you about what that means.
- It’s still learning. It may misread a thread, misjudge what’s urgent, or miss something that arrives between its checks. Keep an eye on it while it learns your life.
- It uses more of your plan. Duet shares your Claude plan’s usage limits and uses more of them than a typical chat, since it checks in the background. Bigger jobs, like a deck or a financial model, use more.
- Not everyone has it yet. Access is opening through the research preview, so it may not be on your account today.
- The same privacy rules apply. Never give it account numbers, Social Security numbers or anything you wouldn’t hand a babysitter. You stay in charge of every send, payment and signature.
How to get ready now
Whether Duet is on your account today or next month, the moms who get the most out of a proactive assistant will be the ones who already taught their AI their life. Here’s where to start:
- Build Aime. One onboarding and she knows your family, your schedule and your week.
- Connect your calendar and email in Claude, so there’s something real to be proactive about.
- Learn the foundations so you know how to give it the full picture once, and how to check its work.
I’ll be sharing my first-week notes with our community as I go. Follow along on Instagram @aimoms.ai, and send me a DM with what you’d hand off first! 💪
